Agricultural gearboxes simply do not have drain plugs. The newest spindle design features sealed spindle bearings, which has not been problematic in the least and is featured on most all current zero turn mowers in the industry. EA Response: These mowers are shipped to the customer just as a dealer would receive them, so some setup is required. You have to suck the oil out to do the oil change. Maybe my biggest complaint is that the gearbox doesn't have a drain plug. Also their are no grease fittings on the spindles. I like the mower but, the keyway for the for the gearbox was not installed, so I had to take it apart and then reinstall it.
